Commission a Painting
It is not as scary as you think, just askClients are often as nervous of commissioning a painting,
as we artists are of accepting them.
As an artist you have to get inside the clients head to understand what they have in mind, whether it be for private or commercial purposes.I explain the process of commissioning me to paint your inspiration, in my blog
COMMISSION PROCESS
Be it a favourite view, your home or a portrait I can bring your vision to life.
The materials I use are professional quality, whether it be Oils, watercolour, drawing or pastels.
The painting supports are prepared to archival standards, and oils will be varnished to protect and bring out the luminosity of the colours.
I prefer to paint on site from "sur le motif" and do not work from others photographs, with the exception of historic portraits.
For an oil painting planning is needed as they need three months to dry before varnish can be applied. It is not a fast process.
