This oil painting of "Cabanes de Fleury", was painted over two visits a week apart at the same time of day.
This is where l'Aude river enters the mediterranean sea, the first visit was bright, the water full of colour and very windy and the second calmer and warmer but the water was dull.
Thankfully none of the boats had been moved, and the light was different it was coming from the same direction and I knew how I wanted the ambience to resonate
